Naomi Simson, Founder and CEO of RedBalloon:

Everybody is a marketer, even your employees. Your people will promote you to create an employer brand to those around them and beyond! Happy people = Happy profits! How do you share a purpose? What drives people to be engaged? What makes people want to come to work and work with you? Get ready for some inspiration on aspiration and compelling anecdotes which will leave you with a clear idea of how to ‘love your people and your customers’, making you an employer for choice.

Bob Critchley, Career Expert and Author of Rewire or Rust!:

Bob will discuss the changing demographics, the changing world of work and the importance of continuous development to ensure you achieve sustainable employability.  He will support discussion with research from Australia and overseas as well as with relevant case studies.  The focus will be on the attendees’ individual careers, along with addressing the challenges faced in the work environment at a time of skills and labour shortages.

Juliet Bourke, Partner, Aequus Partners and Chair of the EEO Network of Australasia will speak about the results from the 2008 Australasian Diversity and Equality Survey - what you need to know to be an effective diversity practitioner.  In addition to general diversity issues, this year the ADES focused on workplace flexibility - and the implementation challenges. Drawing on her experience as an organizational change consultant on flexibility, Juliet will talk through the practical implications of the findings.
